Delores Y. Moore, age 85, died Tuesday October 29, 2013 at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon, IL. Delores was born September 6, 1928 in Amboy, IL the daughter of Chauncey & Margaret (Ollman) Welsh. She graduated from Amboy High School class of 1946 and attended Naperville North College, Naperville, IL. Delores and Robert (Ed) Moore were married on May 21, 1966 in Cherry Valley, IL. She was very active with Stonecroft Ministries serving as an area representative and national speaker for 30 years. Delores was also active in the Leaf River Baptist Church, 6941 N. Mt. Morris Rd, Leaf River, IL 61047, serving the church in many capacities. She was a professional seamstress and sewing instructor for most of her life.

Delores is survived by her husband, Robert (Ed) Moore, Forreston, IL; daughter, Kim Carlson, Rockford, IL; grandson, Jay Johnson, Monroe, WI; brother, Ron (Bev) Johnson, Monroe, WI; sister, Maxine (Gus) Voss, Naperville, IL and Faun (Jack) Hill, Punta Gorda, FL; sisters-in-law Bonnie Pearson, Rockford, IL; Donna Welsch, Blue Grass, IA, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Dough Welsh; sister, Billie Mae Welsh; and stepmother, Fentie Welsh.

Visitation will be Friday, November 1, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with funeral services to be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Both events will be held at the Leaf River Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Repose Cemetery, Amboy, IL Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11 AM.
