David Thomas Reed, age 61 of Darlington, WI to join his Savior in heaven on July 10, 2016. He was born on January 25, 1955 to Bill and Rose (Schelb) Reed in Oak Park, Illinois. David graduated school in Evansville, WI. He married his high school sweetheart, Lorrie, on May 29, 1976. David and Lorrie lived in Evansville and Darlington.
For many years, Dave was a farmer by trade, though he would often claim he was "a jack of all trades and a master of none." He served as a volunteer Firefighter and EMT for Darlington and Lafayette County. In his spare time Dave loved fishing, woodworking, mechanics, and of course watching his favorite football team, the Packers. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, and square dancing with the love of his life, Lorrie, for 45 years. Dave deeply loved his family, especially all of his grand-babies. Above all else, Dave loved his Savior. He knew his purpose in life and strived to fulfill it daily. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Darlington, where he participated in several mission trips throughout the years. He lived his life pursuing Jesus Christ; knowing one day he would hear "Well done, my good and faithful servant, with whom I am well pleased." His family is blessed with the legacy he left and will forever miss him, but rejoices in the fact that one day they can see him again.
David is survived by his wife: Lorrie at home; his father: Bill Reed of Edgerton, WI; three children: Eric (Tonya) Reed of Monroe, WI, Adam (Tammy Wehrspann) Reed of Potosi, WI and Amy (Nic) Ernzen of Verona, WI; three brothers: Dan (Karen) Reed of Edgerton, WI, Tim (LaVonn) Reed of Evansville, WI and John (Cathe) Reed of Lake Stevens, WA; and grandchildren: Sierra, Isaac, Elisa, Preston, Natalie, Scarlett, Brenna, Gwenevere, BrookLynn, Constantin and Gabriella. He was preceded in death by his mother: Rose Reed.
