Daniel Robert Brunkow, 59, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 29, 1957 to Robert W. and Ruth Ann (Priewe) Brunkow.

Dan was a 1976 graduate of Monroe High School, where he was very active in both FFA and 4-H. He devoted his life to the farm industry, even furthering his education by taking the Ag Short Course. Dan was a licensed cheese maker, and also hauled milk and whey for several years. He had a passion for antique farm equipment, and pulled his own antique tractors. He also enjoyed thresherees and antiques shows. Dan especially enjoyed spending time with his family during family picnics and reunions.

Dan is survived by his father, Robert W. Brunkow of Monroe; siblings, Christine (Drew) Schmidt, David B. (Janet) Brunkow both of TN, and Cathy (Jim) Crubaugh of Monroe; step-brothers, Dennis (Tonya), Jerry and Terry Moisan. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Ann Brunkow and step-mother, Jan Brunkow; step-siblings, Joe Moisan and Lynn Ashby.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Pastor Kathleen Rinear officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dan's name.
