MONROE - The court Nov. 23 entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a Jan. 4 district attorney conference for Eric J. King, 32, Monroe, who stood mute to possession of marijuana, bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege he had 3.8 grams of marijuana and a pipe in his vehicle when stopped Nov. 13 in Monroe. He was on bond for second-offense driving under the influence and on bond in Iowa County at the time of his arrest.

He is charged with possession of marijuana, a class I felony; bail jumping, a class H felony; bail jumping, a class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia. He faces more than 10 years in prison if convicted.

He remains free on a $3,000 cash bond.
