The court Tuesday scheduled a Sept. 16 district attorney conference for Gary R. Kruger, 57, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to fraud and bail jumping.
Court records allege he used false pretenses to obtain about $600 from Wisconsin Community Bank April 24 or April 25. He was previously convicted of having sex with a child over the age of 16 in Marquette County in 2004, and issuing worthless checks in Columbia and Marquette counties in 2005.
He is charged with fraud, a class H felony, as a repeat offender. He faces up to 14 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $3,000 signature bond.
In a second case, he is charged with failing to appear at a preliminary hearing.
