FELONIES

• Ryan Michael Richardson, 32, Brodhead, was charged Monday with third- and fourth-offense charges of driving while intoxicated, the latter of which is a Class H felony. Richardson also received two charges of misdemeanor bail jumping. Richardson received the third-offense charge on Aug. 3, when he caused a minor traffic crash in the drive-thru of a McDonald's restaurant in Brodhead. Richardson was found to be intoxicated after the collision. The fourth-offense charge stems from an incident on Aug. 24, when police checked on the welfare of Richardson at his residence in the Town of Decatur and found that he was highly intoxicated, but otherwise unharmed. Shortly after police left, Richardson left his residence and drove through town, where police stopped him. Richardson's actions violated his bond from a July domestic abuse case, when he signed a bond with conditions that he not consume alcohol. He will next appear in court for a preliminary hearing Sept. 7.
