Felonies
- Steven A. Weber, 46, Papillion, Neb., was found guilty Oct. 14 after pleading no contest to a charge of failure to support a child under 120 days, a class A misdemeanor. Court records indicate that Weber failed to pay $80 a week during April 6, 2007 to Oct. 31, 2007. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail and fined $319.25
- Joshua D. Hicks, 19, Brodhead, was found guilty Oct. 18, after pleading no contest to a charge of fleeing or eluding an officer in a vehicle, a class I felony, and resisting or obstructing an officer, a class A misdemeanor. Court records indicate that Hicks knowingly fled and attempted to elude an officer after the officer tried to signal to Hicks to pull over. Hicks increased the speed of his vehicle to 60 mph at the intersection of County S and Giese Road after the officer was conducting an investigation into a noise complaint of vehicles squealing their tires and persons screaming and yelling on Giese Road. His case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where he is to follow the prosecution agreement, which includes undergoing AODA assessment and counseling. He was sentenced to 12 months probation with conditions including a fine of $163.

- Andrea K. Anderson, 29, Monticello, was found guilty Oct. 14 after pleading no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, an unclassified forfeiture, stemming from an April 30 incident. She was fined $236.
- Joseph T. Clark, 19, Brodhead, was found guilty Oct. 17 after pleading no contest to a charge of resisting or obstructing an officer, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a July 4 incident. He was fined $505.
