Felonies

-Benjamin R. Lamunion, 26, Monroe, was found guilty on Oct. 12 after pleading no contest to a count of possessing psilocybin, an unclassified misdemeanor, and manufacturing with the intent to deliver THC, a class I felony, stemming from an Aug. 31, 2010 incident. Court records indicate that Lamunion possessed psilocybin in the form of 31.3 psilocybin mushrooms and tetrahydrocannabinols in the amount of 30 grams of cannabis. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail, three years probation and fined a total of $1,222.

- Shane D. Riley, 25, Monroe, was found guilty on Oct. 10 after pleading no contest to a charge of unlawful use of a phone, a class B misdemeanor; disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor; battery, a class A misdemeanor; and false imprisonment, a class H felony, stemming from a May 11 incident. Reports indicate that Riley made three telephone calls to a victim using obscene and profane language to intimate, threaten or abuse the victim. He then engaged in violent, abusive and otherwise disorderly conduct to provoke a disturbance with the victim by yelling and screaming threats at the victim and hitting, striking and grabbing her. He kicked the victim in the leg, hitting her in the chest with a can of soda, hitting her in the back of the head, grabbing her wrist and strangling her with both hands around the neck. Riley intentionally restrained the victim on a bed in a bedroom by holding her down and refusing to let her leave the residence. Riley's case was a deferred prosecution and sentence, where he is to follow the prosecution agreement, which includes AODA assessment and counseling. He was sentenced to 18 months probation and fined $1,029.

Misdemeanors

- Katelyn A. Elsasser, 22, Monroe, was found guilty on Oct. 12 after pleading no contest to a charge of a worthless check, an unclassified forfeiture, stemming from an Oct. 1, 2010 incident. She was fined $208.20.

- Ryan J. Coyle, 22, New Glarus, was found guilty on Oct. 11 after pleading no contest to a charge of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, and a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor, stemming from an Aug. 4 and 5 incident. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, with credit for time already served, for the possession charge and 30 days in jail, with credit for time already served, for the disorderly conduct charge. He was fined a total of $486.

- David A. Scofield, 22, Brodhead, was found guilty on Oct. 11 after pleading no contest to a charge of receiving stolen property, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from a May 12 incident. He was sentenced to 120 days in jail which may be served under the Huber Law. Scofield was ordered to pay $340 in restitution and fined $243.
