Misdemeanors

• Braydon J. Collins, 20, Brodhead, was charged Oct. 6 with Class A misdemeanor counts of battery and intimidation of a victim and a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, stemming from an Oct. 4 incident at a Brodhead residence. Court records indicate Collins forcibly shoved a woman he knows against a wall while she was holding a 2-month-old infant and tried to prevent her from leaving the residence. In a statement to police, the woman wrote that Collins "threatened me, saying he was going to punch me in the forehead, kick my teeth out and kill me." Collins signed a $3,000 signature bond with conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim, child or a residence in Reedsburg. A pre-trial conference is set for Nov. 24.

• Jayden Patrick Diaz-Barnett, 18, Monroe, pleaded no contest Sept. 30 to a Class A misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property and was sentenced to a year on probation with conditions that he undergo anger management counseling and pay the court $443. A Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct was dismissed. The charges stem from an altercation June 25 at a residence on English Settlement Road, Town of Albany. Court records indicate Diaz-Barnett "brawled" with his brother, punched a car window and then climbed onto its hood and bent a windshield wiper. He was later found walking on Monroe-Sylvester Road and arrested. In an interview with police, he admitted his actions "were not reasonable."

• Brett Dylan Hutchison, 24, Monroe, was charged Oct. 6 with two Class A misdemeanor counts of issuing worthless checks. Hutchison reportedly wrote a check for $17.90 to the Cenex gas station, 2914 13th St., Monroe, on Aug. 3, 2013, and two others totaling $31.51 to Monroe Beverage Mart, 3103 13th St., Monroe, between July 19 and Aug. 12, 2013. His initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Ashley J. Lamp, 29, Monticello, was charged Oct. 6 with three Class A misdemeanor counts of issuing worthless checks. Lamp reportedly wrote a check for $59.18 to the Cenex gas station, 2914 13th St., Monroe, on Aug. 31, 2013, a second for $46.29 to Gempeler's Supermarket, 219 N. Main St., Monticello, on Aug. 10, 2013, and a third for $33 to the Red Apple Inn, 1019 8th St., Monroe, on Nov. 13, 2013. Her initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Jennifer K. Metz, 41, Monroe, was charged Oct. 6 with two Class A misdemeanor counts of issuing worthless checks. Metz reportedly wrote two checks totaling $243.72 to Urban Spa and Boutique, 1611 10th St., Monroe, on June 19, 2013, and two more checks totaling $133.76 to Monroe Beverage Mart, 3103 13th St., Monroe, between June 13 and June 20, 2013. Her initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Tyler Jonathon Meyer, 30, Blanchardville, was charged Oct. 6 with a Class A misdemeanor count of issuing worthless checks. Between Nov. 5, 2011 and Nov. 15, 2013, he reportedly wrote four checks totaling $253 to East Side Farm Equipment Sales, W5386 County DR, Monroe. His initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Tamara Swanson, 37, Pecatonica, Ill., was charged Oct. 6 with a Class A misdemeanor count of issuing worthless checks. Between Jan. 19 and July 23, 2013, she reportedly wrote five checks totaling $214.24 to the Lucky 7 gas station, 710 21st St., Monroe. Her initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Teri L. Walters, 38, Monroe, was charged Oct. 6 with one Class A misdemeanor count of issuing worthless checks. Between Dec. 29, 2012, and May 22, 2013, she reportedly wrote 10 checks totaling $394 to Pizza Hut, 550 8th Ave., Monroe. Her initial appearance is Oct. 26.

• Rebecca Wheeler, 23, Monroe, was charged Oct. 6 with two Class A misdemeanor counts of issuing worthless checks. Between June 27 and July 12, 2013, she reportedly issued 12 checks totaling $650 to the Lucky 7 gas station, 710 21st St., Monroe. Her initial appearance is Oct. 26.
