Thomas A. McLean, 24, Monroe, pleaded no contest Thursday, Sept. 27, to bail jumping and violating his probation conditions on previous misdemeanor charges by driving while intoxicated, his second offense, on March 4. A second charge of misdemeanor bail jumping, stemming from an incident July 1 in Monroe, was dismissed. He was sentenced to 18 months of probation and ordered to undergo mental health treatment, get counseling for alcohol abuse and not drink.
Dawn M. Rea, 38, Monroe, pleaded no contest Thursday, Sept. 27, to a charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $236. Court records indicate on Nov. 11, 2011, at Sir Buk's, W5222 County KK, Town of Monroe, she yelled and argued with another woman "to the point of needing to be held back."
Mathew Thomas Daly, 22, Evansville, pleaded no contest Friday, Sept. 28, to misdemeanor charges of battery and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to undergo an assessment for alcohol or other drug abuse and to follow all counseling recommendations. Court records indicate that Daly hit a man in the jaw and was yelling and swearing in the parking lot of Sir Buk's, W5222 County KK, Town of Monroe, after an employee at the club told him to leave because he was being "loud and grabby." His court assessments total $486.
Paul S. Marquis, 47, Browntown, pleaded no contest Tuesday, Oct. 2, to a charge of disorderly conduct and paid a $393.50 fine. Court records indicate on March 3 in the N2000 block of Dill Road in the Town of Cadiz he was physically violent with his 18-year-old daughter. A misdemeanor charge of battery was dismissed.
Ryan Michael Hoven, 19, Belleville, was granted a one-year deferred prosecution Wednesday, Oct. 3, on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Court records indicate that during a domestic dispute Aug. 14 in the N8900 block of Blazer Road in the Town of Exeter, he got physically violent with two people and threw a dresser drawer against a wall. The court ordered Hoven to undergo anger management counseling and attend monitoring conferences.
A bench warrant was issued Wednesday, Oct. 3, for Erika Moede, 28, Milwaukee, after she failed to appear for a sentencing hearing the same day for a misdemeanor charge of writing worthless checks.
Darien Val Shimko, 17, Brodhead, was charged Tuesday, Sept. 25, with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to a dwelling. The charges stem from an incident Sept. 22 at a residence in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue in Brodhead. He allegedly entered the front porch, pounded on the door and house, pushed on the windows and was verbally abusive to the arresting officer.
Jenifer Jo Virnig, 28, Oregon, was charged Wednesday, Sept. 26, with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance. Court records indicate that during a traffic stop Aug. 24 of a 1990 Acura Integra car at the intersection of County F and Wis. 59, Virnig was found with a small amount of marijuana in a brown zippered pouch, along with a pipe, marijuana grinder and a tablet of the opiate Suboxone.
Kayla Doniel Graff, 21, Monroe, was charged Thursday, Sept. 27, with shoplifting a sequined top, camisole and tank top, worth a total of $22.70, from Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W, Monroe.
Bethany M. Penniston, 45, Brodhead, was charged Tuesday, Oct. 2, with misdemeanor charges of retail theft, possession of an illegally obtained prescription and possession of a controlled substance. Court records indicate that on Oct. 20, 2009, while an employee at Shopko, 405 W. 8th Ave., Monroe, she took a bag of chocolate candies and a bottle of 30 Phentermine pills, a prescription weight-loss drug.
Ryan Lee Bergemann, 36, Monroe, was charged Monday, Oct. 8, with a misdemeanor count of bail jumping. Court records indicate he violated bond conditions on previous charges by drinking alcohol between the afternoon of Oct. 6 and 12:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7.

Sheryl Ann Vincent, 46, Monroe, pleaded no contest Monday, Oct. 8, to revoking her probation on 2010 charges of second-degree reckless injury and disorderly conduct. Court records indicate she revoked her probation by drinking alcohol on Aug. 4 and registering a blood-alcohol concentration of .184 percent. She was ordered to serve one year in jail. After the first three months, she may have Huber work-release privileges as long as she remains alcohol- and drug-free.
William J. Hinkel, 36, Davenport, Iowa, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Oct. 10, to two misdemeanor counts of failure to pay child support in 2008 and 2010. A felony count of failure to pay child support in 2011 was dismissed, as was a 2004 misdemeanor charge of writing worthless checks. Hinkel was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay child support arrears and not drink alcohol.
