Manning, 37, Monroe, revoked his deferred prosecution agreement and was sentenced Oct. 26 to three years on probation and one year in jail for two felony convictions of failure to pay child support. He is ordered to pay his child support arrearages at a rate of $500/month. He also owes $878 in court fees and fines. He is granted Huber work-release privileges while in jail, as long as he remains alcohol- and controlled substance-free.
Bruce Alan Halverson, 54, Brooklyn, pleaded no contest Oct. 31 to a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer and two Class B misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to two years on probation, with the conditions that he complete domestic violence counseling, undergo an assessment for alcohol and other drug abuse and have no contact with the victim in the case. His court fees and fines total $1,529. Felony charges of false imprisonment and victim intimidation by threat of force were dismissed. The case stems from an altercation July 16 at a residence in the W1900 block of Zweifel Road, Town of Brooklyn. Court records indicate Halverson hit a woman and locked her in a room, then misled police about the situation.
