GREEN COUNTY FELONIES

• The court Thursday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a July 1 district attorney conference for Christopher E. Leopold, 36, Monroe, who stood mute to drug charges.

Court records allege he had cocaine, 107 grams of marijuana, some of it in plastic bags, two marijuana plants and drug paraphernalia in his possession May 1 in Monroe. He also allegedly had 12 grams of marijuana in his pocket and a glass pipe in his possession. He was convicted of possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon in 2003.

He is charged with possession of cocaine, a class E felony, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture marijuana and possession of marijuana, all class I felonies, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors.

He faces more than 60 years in prison and more than $80,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $15,000 signature bond and a $5,000 cash bond.

GREEN COUNTY MISDEMEANORS

• The court Tuesday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a July 1 district attorney conference for Steven W. Brunkow, 56, Juda, who stood mute to criminal damage to property and bail jumping charges.

Court records allege he broke a door and a door jam at a residence May 12 in Jefferson township. He also allegedly drank alcohol while on bond for third-offense drunken driving.

He is charged with criminal damage to property and bail jumping, both class A misdemeanors. He faces up to 18 months in jail and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.

• The court Wednesday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a July 1 district attorney conference for Richard C. Tranel, 83, Monroe, who stood mute to charges of battery, obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct.

Court records allege he yelled and acted as if he was going to hit two women with his fist and then hit a woman with his cane May 12 at a Clarno residence. He later gave officers a false name and refused to cooperate when taken into custody.

He is charged with obstructing an officer and attempted battery, both class A misdemeanors, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor. He faces more than 16 months in jail and up to $16,000 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $500 signature bond.
