GREEN COUNTY
FELONIES
- A criminal complaint was filed Monday, June 4, against William Charles Buchanan, 30, Beloit, charging him with a Class H felony count of forgery and a Class H felony count of resisting an officer, causing soft-tissue injury. The complaint alleges Buchanan tried to pass a fake payroll check in Brodhead at M & J's Bar, 1117 West 2nd Ave., and then tried to flee the bar when Brodhead police were arresting him. The ensuing struggle reportedly left the officers with scrapes and bruises. Buchanan was released Tuesday, June 5, on a $5,000 signature bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 20.
MISDEMEANORS
- Kayla Doniel Graff, 21, incarcerated, was sentenced Thursday, May 31, to five months in jail after she was found guilty of revoking her probation on multiple charges from 2010 and 2011, including retail theft, disorderly conduct and bail jumping. Court records indicate Graff revoked conditions of her probation in recent months by sneaking in another person's urine for a drug test, smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol and sharing prescription medication with another resident at ARC House, a four-month residential program in Madison for alcohol- and drug-abuse treatment.
