MISDEMEANORS

• Cali J. Sheesley, 30, Monroe, was charged July 17 with domestic-abuse-related disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling and swearing at a man she knows June 7, grabbing his ear and trying to forcibly remove a 15-month-old girl from his arms at a residence in the N6900 block of County B in the Town of Clarno. She reportedly told investigators the man was holding the girl from her and he wouldn't give her back. According to court documents, Sheesley told police she hid the man's cell phone from him and unplugged a landline phone to prevent him from calling police. She was arrested and taken to jail. Court records indicate she entered a not guilty plea July 20 and signed a $300 signature bond that orders her to have no violent or abusive contact with the man. She has a pre-trial conference Aug. 25.

• Cindy J. Kurth, 57, Monroe, was charged July 17 with obstruction for allegedly providing false information to investigators June 4 regarding her brother Paul Patterson, 45, Freeport, whom police were looking for because he failed to return to the Green County Jail after an appointment. According to court files, a K-9 officer obtained a washcloth used by Patterson at the jail and the police dog tracked the scent to a location near Kurth's residence in the 2300 block of 16th Avenue. At first she allegedly told investigators Patterson was at her residence but he left on foot and she didn't know where he was going. She later reportedly admitted to giving him a ride to a vehicle in another part of town and that he said he was going to Iowa. Court records indicate she entered a not guilty plea July 20 and signed a $1,000 signature bond. She has a pre-trial conference Aug. 25.

• Nathan J. Hill, 30, Brooklyn, was charged July 17 with disorderly conduct for allegedly yelling and swearing at a 14-year-old boy he knows June 11, grabbing the boy's feet and dragging him across a room at a residence in the 200 block of Division Street in Brooklyn. The charge carries a "repeater" enhancer, meaning he could face up to a year and a half in prison if found guilty, because in 2010 he was convicted of felony cocaine possession with intent to deliver. Hill reportedly told police that some of his belongings were missing from a safe and he thought the boy might know where they were. According to court documents, Hill told investigators he didn't hit the boy but admitted to dragging him across the floor by his ankles. Police obtained video footage that allegedly showed Hill swearing at the boy, getting in his face, grabbing him by the torso and throwing him to the ground. Hill has an initial appearance Aug. 3.

• Olivia G. Schumacher Griseta, 27, Albany, was charged July 17 with domestic-abuse-related disorderly conduct, battery, criminal damage to property and intimidating a victim for a July 16 incident in which she allegedly used a shovel to hit a man she knows and damage his car at a residence in the N6500 block of English Settlement Road in the Town of Albany. According to police reports, the man heard a noise coming from the garage and opened his door to find one of his car windows had been shattered and Griseta hiding behind a different car. She then allegedly smashed another window. When he threatened to call police, she reportedly hit him around 10 times on his arms, legs and side, before he managed to wrestle the shovel away from her and go back inside. He again heard a noise and returned to the garage, where he observed Griseta wielding a pickaxe, police documents show. When he went to call 911, she reportedly unplugged the phone cord. He later reached police using a cell phone. When police arrived, they observed the car had a pickaxe sticking out of it, was scratched all over and someone had engraved a pentagram into the hood. The man estimated the damage to be around $2,000. He reported pain, redness and swelling where he was hit with the shovel but declined immediate medical attention, court files show. Griseta was arrested and taken to the hospital for a medical clearance. Police noted in their report that "she appeared to be heavily intoxicated." Her blood-alcohol concentration was 0.19 percent. Court records indicate she signed a $2,000 signature bond July 20 that orders her to have no contact with the residence and no violent or abusive contact with the man. She has a pre-trial conference Aug. 25.
