Michael M. Friedrichs, 25, Monroe, was charged Friday, Dec. 28, with a Class I felony count of possessing a narcotic drug and a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia. While he was being arrested on a warrant at his home in the 2200 block of 7th Street on Dec. 27, police saw heroin and paraphernalia for injecting heroin "located in plain view in Friedrich's room." About a half-gram of heroin was seized, along with a rubber tube tourniquet, alcohol patches, a syringe and two metal tea light candle holders. Friedrichs signed a $200 cash bond and $1,800 signature bond Monday, Dec. 31. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 15.
Rickey Lee Coggins, 39, Brodhead, was charged Wednesday, Jan. 2, with felony bail jumping stemming from an arrest Dec. 31 in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street in Brodhead. Officers found that he was violating his $4,000 signature bond on previous charges by drinking alcohol. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 11.
Elliot L. Wenzel, 23, Brodhead, was charged Wednesday, Jan. 2, with a Class I felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. The charge stems from a traffic stop on North Mechanic Street in Albany on Sunday, Dec. 30. Officers report finding five Ziplock-type plastic baggies containing various quantities of marijuana, totaling 90 grams, in a black camera bag in the black Honda Accord. Wenzel signed a $3,000 signature bond. His preliminary hearing is Jan. 23.

Lionel Joseph Dumond, 46, New Glarus, was charged Wednesday, Jan. 2, with a Class B misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at a residence on 6th Avenue in New Glarus on Sunday, Dec. 30. Court records indicate Dumond caused a disturbance by yelling and swearing, throwing a kitchen chair, calling a woman names, pushing her and also pushing two children, ages 8 and 3, causing them to lose their balance and fall. Dumond pleaded not guilty to the charge. His signature bond was set at $750, with the conditions that he have no contact with the woman or children and not drink or enter establishments that sell primarily alcohol. He has a pre-trial conference scheduled Feb. 5.
