Court records allege Murphy, on or about, Sept. 15, 2010, in the City of Monroe, obtained $6,700 in cash from a bank by having another person deposit a worthless check drawn on the account of a third person.
He is free on a $1,000 signature bond.
The court Jan. 14 found Dwayne Hosp, 47, Evansville, guilty of theft of less than $2,500 in a business setting, a Class A misdemeanor, and of violating regulations of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, an unclassified misdemeanor.
He was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay restitution and court costs totaling about $9,100.
Court records indicate Hosp, on or about Dec. 26, 2007, in the Town of Decatur, entered into a home improvement contract with a person and received $2,500 in advance but failed to use the money for the job and failed to provide a written contract as required by state regulations.
He faced up to 1 year and 9 months in jail and $15,000 in fines.
The court deferred sentencing for one count of theft of $2,500 to $5,000 in a business setting, a Class I felony that carries a sentence of up to three years and six months in jail and $10,000 in fines.

He is charged with possession of marijuana, 1,000 to 2,500 grams, with intent to manufacture and to deliver on or near a park, a class G felony; manufacturing marijuana, 200 to 1,000 grams, with intent to deliver on or near a park, a class H felony; maintaining a drug trafficking place, a class I felony; two counts of intimidating a witness, both class A misdemeanors; and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor.
He faces more than 31 years in prison and more than $65,000 in fines, if convicted.
Court records allege Rossetti, on or about Nov. 15 and 16, 2010, in the city of Brodhead, had 23 marijuana plants, with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, within 1,000 feet of a city park; and had a total of 362.7 grams of marijuana with intent to deliver it; and possessed drug paraphernalia for planting, growing, harvesting, processing, packaging, selling and ingesting controlled substances; and maintained a residence to manufacture the controlled substance; and intimidated two witnesses.
He is free on a $5,000 cash and signature bond.

He was sentenced to three months in jail, 36 months probation, $600 in fines, $17,200 in restitution, $1,340 in court costs and revocation of driver's license for one year.
Court records indicate Cruz, on or about June 29, 2010, in the city of Monroe, while driving under the influence of intoxicants, failed to stop, following an accident that caused injuries to occupants of the other vehicle, and failed to stop at a second accident.
He was charged with hit-and-run, causing injuries while under the influence of an intoxicant, and reckless driving causing injuries, all unclassified misdemeanors. He faced more than two years in jail and up to $5,000 in fines.
