Green County Felonies

• The court Monday issued a 24-month stay of judgment and probation for Shando R. Boss, 25, Juda, who pleaded no contest to reduced charges of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.

Court records indicate Boss, on or about Oct. 25, 2009, struck a man about the head and shoulders behind a tavern in Albany, causing bruises, cuts to the face and other bodily injuries.

He was charged with misdemeanor battery as a party to a crime, a class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor.

He faced up to 12 months in jail and $11,000 in fines.

As part of the stay of judgment agreement, Boss was ordered to pay $4,250 in restitution to the victim within 22 months; complete 20 hours of community service; and attend counseling programs for alcohol or drug abuse, anger management, and domestic violence and assault.

If Boss complies with the agreement, the court will dismiss the charges. He is eligible for discharge after 12 months if he has completed counseling and restitution payments.

The court also dismissed a charge of second degree reckless endangerment, as a party in a crime, a class G felony, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years and $25,000 in fines.

Boss was released on a $10,000 signature bond.

• Greg A. O'Bel, 38, Albany, remains free on a $1,000 signature bond after making his initial appearance Monday for two counts of felony bail jumping.

Court records allege O'Bel, on or about Dec. 3 and Dec. 5, 2010, purchased alcohol at a convenience store, which violated the terms of a $2,000 signature bond related to two previous felony charges.

He is charged with two counts of felony bail jumping, a class H felony. He faces up to 12 years in prison and $20,000 in fines, if convicted.

Misdemeanors

• The court Monday entered a plea of not guilty and set a Feb. 22 district attorney conference for Cole A. Mabis, 25, Belleville, who stood mute to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege Mabis, on or about Nov. 24, 2010, had in his possession three glass pot pipes and intended to use them with a controlled substance.

He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor.

He faces up to 30 days in jail and $500 in fines, if convicted.

He remains free on a $200 signature bond.

• The court Monday entered a plea of not guilty and set a Feb. 25 district attorney conference for Ian R. Watson, 19, Brodhead, who stood mute to charges of retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Court records allege Watson, on or about Dec. 16, 2010, took two Play Station video games and a T-shirt, with a total value of $71, from a store in Monroe. In doing so, Watson violated the terms of his $3,000 signature bond agreement related to three counts of sexual assault.

He is charged with misdemeanor retail theft and misdemeanor bail jumping, both class A misdemeanors.

He faces up to 18 months in jail and $20,000 in fines, if convicted.
