• Richard W. Parot, 56, jailed in Monroe, was bound over for a jury trial on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for charges of battery of prisoners, a Class H Felony. Parot is accused of yelling and punching a fellow inmate Chad Schneider on Dec. 16. According to court records, Parot told a deputy the altercation was "just a yelling match between two hot-heads, which will happen when people are locked up for a long time." Parot has been jailed since last January for separate charges of armed robbery which will also be bound over for jury trial set for June 25.
