Lafayette County Misdemeanors

• Shane Michael Molitor, 25, Platteville, pleaded no contest Wednesday, Dec. 12, to a Class A misdemeanor charge of operating a firearm while intoxicated. Charges of disorderly conduct and possessing controlled substances were dismissed. He was granted a one-year deferred prosecution with the conditions that he pay the court $243, undergo a behavioral health assessment and not drink. The charges stem from a domestic incident Sept. 26 at a residence in the 30900 block of County XX in the Town of Belmont. Officers reportedly located the narcotic painkiller hydrocodone and the anti-anxiety medication diazapam on Molitor.

• Brandon M. Schaaf, 26, Mineral Point, was charged Friday, Dec. 14, with writing a worthless check in the amount of $78 in August to Fayette Saloon, 10990 County D in the Town of Fayette.



Felonies

• Kyle Edwin Gille, 17, Darlington, was charged Friday, Dec. 21, with two felony counts and three misdemeanor counts alleging the high school student was dealing marijuana out of his parent's home on Clayton Drive in Darlington. In a warrant executed on the home Oct. 24, officers seized from Gille's room packaged marijuana, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, cash, a scale, electronics and prescription pills. The police report noted that Gille's parents must have known "this activity was taking place" as the smell of marijuana "could be detected upon immediate entry to the home." Records allege Gille made drug sales to local teens at a cemetery in the area. Gille's initial appearance in court is Jan. 7.
