Felonies
The court Tuesday entered a plea of not guilty and scheduled a June 16 district attorney conference for Thomas B. Chamberlin, 35, Janesville, who stood mute to forgery and bail jumping charges.
Court records allege he wrote five checks from another person's account Feb. 16, Feb. 27 and March 6 in Albany; and March 2 and March 6 in Monroe. He was on bond for delivering illegal articles to an inmate in Rock County March 6.
He is charged with five counts of forgery and one count of bail jumping, all class H felonies. He faces up to 36 years in prison and up to $60,000 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $5,000 signature bond.
Misdemeanors
The court Monday scheduled a June 16 district attorney conference for Kartez D. McAdory, 28, Brodhead, who pleaded not guilty to drug and drug paraphernalia possession.
Court records allege he had 1.4 grams of marijuana in a cigarette pack in his vehicle March 29 in Brodhead.
He is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, both unclassified misdemeanors. He faces up to seven months in jail and up to $1,500 in fines, if convicted.
He remains free on a $500 signature bond.
