Christopher E. Leopold, age 45, of Warren, IL; passed away at his home Thursday, June 1, 2017. He was born on November 27, 1971 in Rockford, IL; the son of Gary and Dianne (Huston) Leopold and attended Monroe High School.
He was employed at Advantage Engineering; he also worked at Schultz's Interstate AG as a welder and at Peppercorn Banquets as a cook.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was a Vikings fan.
Christopher is survived by his girlfriend, Kathleen Dosio, parents, Gary Leopold and Dianne (Terry Miller); children: Anna, Melissa, Emily, Jesse; siblings, Trey, Karri, Casey, Katie, Bobbi Jo, and Bradley Jo; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Nikkita, half-brother, Billy Jo Lomas, grandparents, Emmett and Lorraine Huston and Ralph and Clara Leopold and Harold Lomas; aunt, Sharon Stasik; uncles, Duane, Rex, Lee, and Calvin Leopold.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave., in Monroe, with Pastor Neal Shoffner officiating. Burial will follow in Blaisdell Cemetery in South Wayne.
Visitation will be Saturday June 24th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
