Charlotte Mae (Green-Foley) Edler, 82 of Galena, IL passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her home. Funeral service will be 4 PM, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena and where friends may call after 1 PM Saturday. A funeral dinner will follow at 5 PM at Emmy Lou's Restaurant in Galena. Graveside service will be 2 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. She was born January 11, 1930 in Hanover, IL the daughter of Earl and Ethel (Sanderson) Green. Char was a farmer's housewife. She loved to crochet and make her grandchildren many things to remember her by. She is survived by her husband of forty-three years Ronald R. Edler. She was united in marriage to Joseph Benjamin Foley for fifteen years and from that union Char had one daughter, Bonnie (William A.) Timmerman, of East Dubuque, four sons, Robert "Red" (Sarah), Ricky T. (Patty), Edward (Cindy) all of Galena and Dennis (Mary) of Apple River, two stepsons, Craig (Kathrine) Edler of Browntown, WI and Robert Edler of New Glarus, WI, two stepdaughters, Kathy Kae of Gilbert, AZ and Candy Andrews of Brodhead, WI, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen step-grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren and another one due in February, twenty-three step great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, four sisters, Vidie (Jim) McGillivray, Barb (Harold) Douglas, Pauline (Jerry) Allendorf and Dixie (Fred) Fox, one brother, Clark (Audrey) Green, two sisters in-law, Marge and Jerry Green, one brother in-law, Carl Shepherd. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Chuck, Marky, Russ, Don and Bob Green, sisters, Gladys Shepherd, Irene Cilfone, Pearl Bartell, sister in-law, Marlene Green, brothers in-law, Wes Bartell and Johnnie Gianni.
