MONROE - Carol M. Dickerson, 85 of Monroe, Wisconsin, passed away on January 1, 2009 at Meijer Heart Center at Spectrum Health Center Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Carol was born on December 22, 1923 in Oneco Township, Winslow, Illinois, the daughter of Leland and Ruth (Bennehoff) Kilian. She was a 1941 graduate of Winslow High School.

She married Harry Sidney Dickerson on March 29, 1947 at the Methodist Church in Polo, Illinois. Harry preceded her in death on September 25, 2006. Carol worked for many years as a bookkeeper and secretary. She was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and playing cards.

Surviving are: two sons: Steven (Deborah) Dickerson of Zanesville, Ohio, Randy (Sue) Dickerson of Charlottesville, Virginia; three daughters: Debra (Timothy) O'Rourke of Grand Rapids, Michigan, LeRuth (Marlin) Sievert of Plover, Wisconsin, Kelli Dickerson of Monroe, Wisconsin; two sisters: Marjorie (Donald) Barker of Orangeville, Illinois and Patricia Miller of Winslow, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Alvin (Barbara) Goodman of Grays Lake, Illinois; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Helen Goodman; and an infant brother, Keith.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday January 6, 2009 at the Orangeville United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 till 8 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville, IL.

Pastor James Ketzel will officiate.

Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in her memory for the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center. Donations may be sent to the Spectrum Heart Foundation, 100 Michigan St. N.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
