NEW GLARUS - Carney Falk, Jr. age 89, of New Glarus, WI and former Port Huron, MI resident passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the New Glarus Home. He was born on February 12, 1928 in Port Huron to his parents Carney and Dorothy (Gates) Falk, Sr. After high school Carney served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan with the 484th Transportation Corps Traffic Regulating Company. On May 20, 1950 he was united in marriage to Marjorie Stein at St. John's United Church of Christ in Port Huron. Carney worked for many years in the computer industry. He was a member of the St. John's UCC church. In their retirement Carney and Marge moved to New Glarus to be closer to their son.

Carney is survived by his wife Marge of New Glarus, WI, son Gary (Barbara) Falk of Monroe, WI, grandchildren Stacey Black and Sean Falk, and great-grandchildren Katie, Kyle, Brady, and Charlie. He is further survived by his siblings Robert (Ruth) Falk of Marysville, MI, Joanne (Chris) Kurzweil of Fort Gratiot, MI, Judy DeBell of Port Huron, MI, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Falk of Port Huron, MI, and Ronald (Elaine) Falk of Ruby, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald, sister Jean, and brother-in-law Patrick DeBell.

An inurnment service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township, MI.
