DARLINGTON - A Darlington business man has been charged with two counts of theft by fraud, Darlington Police Chief Jason King announced today.

Willard Knutson, 44, is charged with two class A misdemeanors, after police investigated complaints that he billed customers for parts and services he did not actually install or render. Knutson is the owner of Darlington Auto and Truck Repair.

King said Knutson billed the customers $2,600 for work and parts they didn't receive.

Knutson faces up to 18 months in jail and up to $20,000 in fines, if convicted.
