BRODHEAD — A Brodhead man has been charged a fifth drunk-driving offense, a felony, following a traffic check in Rock County Saturday night.
Just before 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 11, a deputy saw the car of Richard Lynn, 64 of Brodhead, along the side of side of South Avon Store Road, near West State Highway 81, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy approached, suspected impairment; and placed Lynn under arrest.
The arrest marks Lynn’s fifth for Operating While Intoxicated in Wisconsin, leading to the felony charge. Lynn, officials said, will be held in Rock County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
According to online court records, he is scheduled for an initial court appearance at 8 a.m., Jan. 20 before Judge Stephen Meyer. Lynn’s bond status is unknown.
