Audrey Weber, 87, of New Glarus, died from pancreatic cancer on February 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her husband and her three children. She was born October 18, 1927 to Oswald and Alma (Koll) Holter at their farm home near Coon Valley, WI. She is survived by her husband Darrel W. Weber, three children, Jon (Pat), Christine "Tina", Howard (Marina), four grandchildren, three great granddaughters, and a brother Paul (Carol) Holter. She was preceded in death by her sister Maxine Holter.

Audrey taught school for many years in Vernon County, La Crosse, and for many years in Menomonee Falls. She also worked as a health aide, and after retirement she did a significant amount of care giving for individuals in their homes. Audrey was a voracious reader who truly loved learning and helping others to learn. Her curiosity had her in constant pursuit of new things to learn and to master. Her green thumb was the envy of many as she nurtured all manner of plants which she shared with others.

On April 18 at 1:30 p.m. friends and family members are invited to join the family at the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus, WI to remember the happy and joyful events of her life. There will be an open microphone for you to share a memory.

Any gifts made to honor Audrey will be given to the New Glarus Library as this was a special place for her.
