BRODHEAD - Arlin O. Nyborg, age 90, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Woods Crossing Nursing Home, Brodhead. He was born on July 25, 1924 in Lafayette County, WI, the son of Ever and Estella (Scott) Nyborg. He married Pearl V. Sowl on November 13, 1943 in Argyle, WI. She passed away on July 14, 2012.

Arlin graduated from Argyle High School in 1943. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was stationed in England and from there he completed 32 bombing missions over Germany as a aerial gunner on a B-17. He re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. In the following years, Arlin, with his wife and family, traveled throughout the U.S. and 3 years in England. Arlin also had tours in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After 21 year of serving his country, he retired and moved to Brodhead in 1966. He was employed at General Motors of Janesville for 20 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the VFW Post 6858, and American Legion Post 197, all of Brodhead.

He is survived by his children; Rodney (Patricia) Nyborg, Fountain, CO, Kenneth (Deb) Nyborg, Ossian, IN, Virginia (Ronald) Deal, Brodhead, WI, Linda Nyborg, Monroe, WI; a sister, Hazel Johnson, Brodhead, WI; a brother-in-law, Harley Little, Beloit, WI; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a sister, Violet Little.
