Archie R. Hale age 68 of Alma Center, WI, died on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Saint Josephs Hospital in Marshfield. Archie was born September 16, 1946 in Jackson County, WI, the son of Allie and Beatrice (Ellenberger) Hale. He attended school in Black River Falls and lived in that area all his life. He married Jean Aldinger on December 12, 1964 and divorced in 1998. He married Elizabeth Anglin on November 15, 2008. Archie was employed as a truck driver at Lea Brothers and Countryside Hides for the past 36 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Black River Falls and enjoyed fishing, bowling, boating, watching westerns, and tinkering with lawn mowers.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Libby" Anglin-Hale of Monroe, WI; three daughters, Marcie Parker, Lisa O'Brien, both of Merrillan, WI, and Christine Hale of Osseo, WI; a son, Mike Hale of Alma Center, WI; two step-sons, Todd and Tony Anglin of Monroe; 36 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother Beryl (Judy) Hale of Melrose, WI; and a sister, Judy (Shorty) Kennedy of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan; a brother, Butch Hale; two sisters, Barbara and Corky; and infant brothers, Carl and Dale.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 1329 31st. Ave., Monroe, WI. Officiating will be Kevin Phillips, Matthew Spoonhour, and Kenneth Jordan. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
