Monroe, WI.- Anna Marie Tamling passed from this life, to be received in heaven at 12:22 a.m., on December 13th, 2011. She was born August 17th, 1941 to Gladys and Marion Poorman in Thomson, IL. She lost her mother at a young age and was adopted along with 4 brothers to Vivian and Glenn Haas of Elizabeth, IL.

She married Paul Tamling, Sr. on June 10th, 1963 and moved from Ridott, IL, to a farm in the hills of Gays Mills, WI, where they farmed for nearly 40 years. Together they added 3 more children to Paul's family of 5. Anna was a blessing to many people, as she cared for and helped family members who were in need and ailing. She loved her husband, family, children, step children, and the community greatly and our family was truly blessed to have her as our own.

Anna was active in the local Lady's Aid and Crawford County UW Extension Homemakers. She was well known for her wonderful cooking ability and enjoyed making family and holiday celebrations special for all the family. She is loved, and will be greatly missed, especially during the holidays and at family celebrations where she made wedding cakes and beautiful flower arrangements, and cooked a wonderful array of food for all of us.

Through the last 7 years, she has found a love and faith in Jesus Christ and turned to the Lord, as her body began to fail her. She left this world in the arms of her Lord and Savior, to go to live in a much better, kinder place, a place called heaven.

All praise be to God.

She is survived by 3 children, Paul Jr. of Lancaster, WI, Esther ( Bill Seffrood ) Tamling-Seffrood of Winslow, IL, Ronald ( Dawn ) of Gays Mills, WI; 5 step children, Paula ( Gary ) Cook of Boscobel, WI, Karen Garber of Bryan, TX, David ( Kate ) of West Union, IA, Daniel of Blue River, WI, and Sheila ( Ronald ) Sobek of Fennimore, WI; 3 brothers, Bill ( Virginia ) Poorman Haas of Fulton, IL, James ( Sue ) Poorman Haas of Dodgeville, WI, and Robert Poorman Haas of New Orleans, LA; 27 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
