Albany Police

ALBANY — Corbin G. Hamilton, 26, Albany, was cited Tuesday, Sept. 18, for a public nuisance affecting health and having junked appliances and vehicles on a property.

•  Monica R. Krebs, 32, Monroe, was cited Wednesday, Sept. 19, for driving with a suspended license.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 16 to 22, police performed 37 security checks, 33 citizen assists, four assists of other agencies, eight vehicle registrations and 11 follow-ups to incidents; responded to 52 calls for service, five EMS calls, nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; made eight traffic stops and responded to three fire calls. No mental health or detox transports were reported.

On Sunday, Sept. 16:

•  A dog at large was reported at 9:15 a.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. The owner was warned.

•  Police were involved in a pursuit, beginning in the 800 block of Green Street, based off a request from the Town of Beloit Police Department at 12:49 p.m. to help locate a person or persons. The matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.

On Monday, Sept. 17:

•  Two vehicles in violation of the 48-hour parking ordinance were reported at 4:05 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue. Both vehicles were later moved from the area.

On Tuesday, Sept. 18:

•  A 37-year-old man was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct at 2:07 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue.

•  Fraud involving a hacked cellphone account was reported at 1:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 4th Avenue.

•  A domestic disturbance was reported at 6:59 p.m. in the 900 block of 17th Street. Police made contact with the parties and the matter was resolved.

•  A code violation involving a person living in a tent in the backyard of a residence was reported at 9:22 p.m. in the 300 block of East 5th Avenue. A warning was issued.

On Wednesday, Sept. 19:

•  Three juveniles were warned for truancy at 2:25 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

•  A juvenile riding a bike in traffic was reported at 7:18 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Street. A warning was issued.

•  A code violation involving loud music was reported at 7:40 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. Police checked the area but no violation was located.

•  Trespassing was reported at 7:46 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. A person reportedly went into a residence without permission.

On Thursday, Sept. 20:

•  A Monroe man, 19, was cited for inattentive driving following a report of a traffic crash at 3:37 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

•  A Beloit man, 35, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue on a warrant issued by the Beloit Police Department. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

On Friday, Sept. 21:

•  A traffic crash was reported at 4:46 p.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A parked vehicle had been struck by another vehicle.

•  A Chicago man, 26, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue on charges of unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information and possession of prescription drugs and devices with a prescription (two counts related to obtaining prescription drugs by fraud). He was also cited for driving without a valid license.

•  A dog at large was reported at 6:16 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.

On Saturday, Sept. 22:

•  A gas drive-off was reported at 11:31 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.


Monroe Police

MONROE — On Thursday, Sept. 20:

•  Bradley W. Deary, 21, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of littering after officers responded at 5:59 p.m. to a business in the 700 block of 8th Avenue to investigate a report of a person throwing glass bottles in the street. Deary was arrested after officers observed him throw a glass beer bottle into the roadway, causing it to break. He was booked and then released pending court.

•  A 16-year-old boy was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after officers responded at 11:24 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance involving an out-of-control juvenile and broken furniture at a residence in the 1700 block of 8th Avenue. The teen had broken a glass coffee table after becoming upset with his mother. He was released pending referral to juvenile authorities and court.

On Friday, Sept. 21:

•  Daria L. Beutel, 25, Monroe, was arrested on charges of felony bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were dispatched at 9:44 p.m. to check the welfare of a woman in the parking lot of Walmart, 300 6th Ave. West. She was apparently unconscious behind the wheel of a car, with an infant in the backseat. She was startled awake when an officer knocked on the car window. The officer noted evidence of recent intravenous narcotic drug use, including blood in the crook of her arm and syringes, foil and other paraphernalia for injection nearby. EMS was called to assess her, but she was not transported. The infant in the backseat was OK and turned over to a responsible party. Beutel was jailed pending court.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Sept. 17:

•  Police responded to a medical call at 11:28 a.m. in the 1800 block of 2nd Street.

•  Thomas R. Sherven, 33, New Glarus, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and driving without motor vehicle insurance at 2:55 p.m. at County W and Hoesly Drive.

•  Police assisted a citizen regain entry into their locked vehicle at 3:53 p.m. in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue.

•  Police responded to a medical call at 6:28 p.m. in the 1100 block of 5th Street.

•  A traffic complaint of children playing in the roadway was reported at 7:58 p.m. in the 700 block of 2nd Street. Police talked to the children and advised the parent.

On Tuesday, Sept. 18:

•  A purse left at a business in the 500 block of 1st Street was reported to police at 11:24 a.m.

•  At 12:12 p.m., police opened the stop signs at Wis. 69 and 6th Avenue. Due to a power outage in the area, the stoplights were out.

•  Police were requested at 12:37 p.m. to assist the Belleville Police Department with a suicidal person who had a firearm.

•  Police responded to a 911 call at 1:28 p.m. from an address in the 200 block of 2nd Street. It was a misdial and there was no emergency.

•  Trevor A. Theobold, 31, New Glarus, was cited for not wearing a seatbelt following a traffic stop for an equipment violation at 3:53 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Avenue.

•  Police were requested to check the welfare of a person at 4:04 p.m in the 300 block of 5th Avenue. Police determined there was a medical problem and requested EMS to transport the person.

•  Dean C. Fuchs, 52, New Glarus, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after police responded to a report of a disturbance at 7:47 p.m. in the 300 block of 6th Avenue. Fuchs was jailed pending court.

On Wednesday, Sept. 19:

•  Police investigated a parking complaint at 8:38 a.m. in the 200 block of 5th Avenue.

•  Police received a cellphone that was found in the 10 block of 2nd Street at 10:13 a.m.

•  Thomas J. Lins, 60, DeForest, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a call at 11:12 a.m. about a disturbance that occurred in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

•  A lost cellphone was located at 1:20 p.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street and returned to its owner.

•  Police assisted a person at 1:32 p.m. with fingerprinting for a license application.

•  Police investigated a 911 misdial at 2:07 p.m. on County W. No emergency was found.

•  Police responded to check the welfare of a person in the 300 block of 5th Street. The person had a medical need and was transported by EMS.

•  Kyle R. Neuenschwander, 25, New Glarus, was arrested at 10 p.m. on a probation apprehension request from the Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

On Thursday, Sept. 20:

•  At 12:42 a.m., police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked at a closed business in the 600 block of Wis. 69. No one was in the vehicle.

•  Police responded at 12:56 a.m. to a medical call in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

•  At 1:30 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of 5th Avenue for a report

of an alarm going off. The business was found to be locked. No one was

inside. Everything appeared to be OK.

•  Police responded at 10 a.m. to a medical call the 700 block 2nd Avenue.

•  A disorderly juvenile was reported at 11:26 a.m. in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.

•  Police responded at 6:02 p.m. to a medical call in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

•  Police came across an unoccupied vehicle with its lights on at 7:43 p.m. in the 10 block of 1st Street. The owner was advised.

•  Police removed a tree branch from the roadway at 10:41 p.m. in the 600 block of 8th Avenue.

•  Police removed a large screen from the roadway at 11:49 p.m. The screen was discarded.

On Friday, Sept. 21:

•  An animal bite was reported at 1:15 p.m. in the 200 block of 2nd Street.

•  A group of juveniles fighting was reported at 4:03 p.m. in the 200 block of Railroad Street.

•  A disorderly juvenile was reported at 9 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. The juvenile was spoken to and advised to return home as he was no longer allowed at the event.

•  Tayler T. Neuenschwander, 23, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license and possessing drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop for an equipment violation at 11:36 p.m. on 1st Street at 10th Avenue.

On Saturday, Sept. 22:

•  Police responded at 11:42 a.m. to the 200 block of 6th Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle that had been parked in the area for a few days.

•  A Wisconsin driver’s license was reported lost in or around the downtown area at 12 p.m.

•  At 1:45 p.m., police received a Wisconsin WIC benefits card that was found in the village. The card was mailed to the address listed on the card.

•  Police stopped and assisted a motorist who was having car issues at 3:44 p.m. in the 300 block of Railroad Street.

•  Police responded to a medical call at 7:05 p.m. in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue.

•  Police responded to a medical call at 8:19 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

•  Police were called at 11:49 p.m. to check the welfare of a person in the 200 block of Industrial Drive.

On Sunday, Sept. 23:

•  Police responded at 8:38 a.m. to a medical call in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

•  A theft of flower pots and plants was reported at 10:51 a.m. from a property in the 100 block of 4th Avenue.

•  Police responded at 1 p.m. to the 200 block of 14th Avenue for a 911 misdial. Everything was OK.

•  A dog at large was reported at 2:52 p.m. at the intersection of 5th Street and 9th Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the animal.

•  Two suspicious vehicles parked at a closed business on 14th Avenue were reported at 3:55 p.m. Police checked the area and found the vehicles gone and the business secure.

•  Lee F. Eilers, 67, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 5:25 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wis. 69.

 

Green County Sheriff

MONROE — The following incidents occurred on Friday, September 21, 2018:

At approximately 8:07 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Tara J. Farwell, 38, Freeport, IL, in the W4500 block of STH 11 in the Town of Jefferson.  Investigation resulted in Farwell being arrested on an arrest warrant issued through Winnebago County, IL, for Failure to Appear.  Farwell was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending extradition to Illinois.  Farwell was also cited for Speeding, Operate without a Valid License, and Driver Keep Open Intoxicants in Vehicle.
