Albany Police

ALBANY — Michael R. Patterson, 38, Albany, was cited Nov. 9 for inattentive driving and driving without vehicle insurance.

●  A juvenile was cited Nov. 16 for truancy.

●  Cody A. Smythe-Coulthard, 21, Albany, was cited Nov. 17 for hunting within village limits, reckless use of a weapon and discharging a firearm within village limits.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Jose Sixto Martinez, 37, Darlington, was arrested for driving with a suspended license on Main Street at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Nov 15.

●  Shashin B. Patel, 27, Dodgeville, was cited for speeding and passing in a no-passing zone Sunday, Nov. 18, on Galena Street.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Robert P. Bennett, 30, Monroe, was arrested twice on Friday, Nov. 16. At 8:59 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of 17th Avenue after receiving a call requesting a welfare check. Investigation resulted in the the arrest of Bennett on charges of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct and battery. He posted his bond and was released. At 11:59 p.m., officers again responded to the same location after receiving a report that Bennett had returned to the residence, in violation of a 72-hour no-contact order. He was arrested for the violation and jailed pending court.

On Saturday, Nov. 17:

●  Jeffrey K. Norton, 32, Monroe, was arrested and jailed on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer after police responded twice within two hours, the second time at 12:32 a.m., to reports that he was intoxicated and out of control at a residence in the 2800 block of 13th Street. A criminal complaint filed later in Green County Circuit Court indicates Norton had been drinking vodka all night and family members wanted him to leave the house for the evening and stay away until he was sober.

●  Ginger E. Goudy, 32, Monroe, was cited for hit-and-run, failure to report an accident, driving too fast for conditions and driving without vehicle insurance after officers responded at 3:33 a.m. to a report of a hit-and-run accident on a retaining wall in the 500 block of 10th Avenue. Officers located the offending vehicle a short time later in the 2200 block of 1st Street. Goudy admitted to crashing her vehicle and fleeing the scene. Her vehicle damaged the wall and sustained moderate damage.

●  Guadalupe S. Gomez, 20, Monroe, was arrested at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 5:54 a.m. in the 1300 block of 17th Street on a probation and parole warrant. He was jailed.

●  Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of felony bail jumping at 12:18 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, after officers investigated a report that he was drinking at a bar in the 1400 block of 17th Street, in violation of court-ordered bond conditions in a prior felony case that he not consume alcohol or be in a business that sells alcohol. He was jailed.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Nov. 12:

●  At 12:20 a.m., police assisted a citizen who had locked their keys in their vehicle in the 200 block of Railroad Street.

●  People acting suspiciously inside a vehicle parked in the Culver’s parking lot was reported at 2:47 p.m. Police did not locate the vehicle.

●  Catherine C. Large, 52, New Glarus, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration at 5:52 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue. She was also cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle, driving with a revoked license, failure to install an ignition-interlock device and a defective taillight. She was jailed.

On Tuesday, Nov. 13:

●  A medical call was reported at 12:38 a.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

●  An older-type badge found in a cemetery was turned over to police at 2:05 p.m.

On Wednesday, Nov. 14:

●  Monticello police requested assistance with a bank alarm in Monticello at 8:20 a.m.

●  Kyle F. Smith, 30, New Glarus, was cited for allowing an animal to roam at large (second offense) after police responded to a call at 8:31 a.m. about a dog at large in the area of Hillside Circle.

●  Kyle F. Smith, 30, New Glarus, was cited for driving with a suspended license after police stopped a vehicle for speeding at 9:32 a.m. in the 1200 block of Wis. 69.

●  Samantha R. Sweeney, 29, Mount Horeb, was cited for speeding at 10:58 a.m. in the 10 block of 2nd Street.

●  A medical call was reported at 11:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Valle Tell Drive.

●  A medical call was reported at 11:32 a.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

●  Police were dispatched for a welfare check at 12:46 p.m. in the 1000 block of 3rd Street.

●  Harassing phone calls were reported at 6:27 p.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

●  A medical call was reported at 9:59 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Avenue.

On Thursday, Nov. 15:

●  Sara J. Bowers, 32, Janesville, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 10:08 a.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:56 p.m. in the 10 block of 1st Street.

On Friday, Nov. 16:

●  Joseph G. Janisch, 34, New Glarus, was cited for an expired vehicle registration at 12:22 a.m. in the 1500 block of Wis. 69.

●  Police responded to the 200 block of Kubly Road at 8:15 a.m. for a 911 call. No one in distress was located. No additional calls were received.

●  Police responded for a welfare check on a person making statements of self-harm at 2:55 p.m. in the 1700 block of 2nd Street. Green County Human Services was contacted, and after an evaluation, they advised the person was not at risk of self-harm.

●  A family disturbance was reported via a 911 call at 4:53 p.m. in the 400 block of 6th Street. Police made contact with a juvenile, and he went to a family member for the night. Reports will be forwarded to Green County Human Services.

●  A dog barking at people was reported at 8:26 p.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue.

On Saturday, Nov. 17:

●  Parking citations were issued at 2:45 a.m. for violations of “No Parking 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.” in the Business District.

●  Patrick H. Masson, 60, New Glarus, was cited for a dog attacking a person after police responded at 9:13 a.m. to a complaint about a dog bite in the 700 block of 14th Avenue.

●  A power outage was reported at 1 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. New Glarus Utilities was on scene and after a short time, the power was restored.

●  A medical call was reported at 4:31 p.m. in the 600 block of 2nd Avenue.

●  At 4:56 p.m., police assisted a citizen who had locked their keys in their vehicle in the 700 block of 6th Avenue.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:29 p.m. in the 700 block of 1st Street. Police made contact with the occupants, and everything checked out.

On Sunday, Nov. 18:

●  Police issued several alternate-side parking warnings throughout the village around 1:20 a.m.

●  A vehicle registration plate found in the 1500 block of Wis. 69 was turned over to police at 11:35 a.m. It was returned to the owner.

●  At 1:04 p.m., police tagged a vehicle in the 1700 block of 2nd Street that appeared to have been abandoned in a parking lot.

●  At 1:22 p.m., police assisted the Vilas County District Attorney’s Office with serving a legal paper to a New Glarus resident in reference to a court hearing in Vilas County.

●  A red Ford Focus parked on the sidewalk in the 100 block of 5th Avenue was reported at 3:44 p.m. The vehicle was removed when police arrived on scene.

●  A two-vehicle accident was reported at 4:36 p.m. in the 1200 block of Wis. 69. A Ford F150 had backed into a legally parked Audi. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained damage.

●  Police conducted a welfare check at 5:52 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street.

●  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office at 8:11 p.m. by checking on a possible injured deer in the N9200 block of Wis. 69.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Chad E. Pehl, 45, Monroe, turned himself in at the sheriff’s office at 9:24 a.m. on a warrant issued for his arrest by the Monroe Police Department. The Wisconsin Department of Community Corrections had also placed a hold on Pehl. He was jailed.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20:

●  Brian L. Ledesma, 24, Belleville, was arrested on charges of felony bail jumping and violating a 72-hour no-contact order after deputies responded at 12:16 p.m. to a report of a bail jumping case in reference to a prior domestic abuse arrest. Ledesma was jailed.

●  Roberto Jovany Cruz Savinon, 27, South Beloit, Illinois, was cited for driving without a valid license (third offense) after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 5:57 p.m. in the W6700 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.

●  Jessica A. Simplot, 30, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded to a traffic complaint at 8:40 p.m. in the N5300 block of County E, Town of Albany, and located the offending vehicle in the village of Albany. Simplot was also cited for operating left of center. She was jailed pending release to a responsible party.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Nov. 19:

●  Jay T. Klusendorf, 32, Argyle, was cited for having open intoxicants in a vehicle at 1:08 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  James M. Gifford, 22, Darlington, was cited for speeding and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 11:09 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 3:53 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  An injured animal was reported at 6:52 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

●  David E. Chambers, 58, Darlington, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 7:19 p.m. on Stone Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 9:50 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy assisted the Belmont Police Department with a traffic stop at 11:37 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. As a result, Louis P. Parker, 32, Madison, was arrested on a valid probation and parole warrant and was jailed. The Mineral Point Police Department and Belmont EMS assisted on scene.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20:

●  Nita J. Burke, 60, Darlington, was cited for speeding and failure to provide a vehicle insurance card at 8:22 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of New Diggings.

●  Matthew F. Fink, 39, Darlington, was cited for failure to provide a vehicle insurance card at 3:23 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:39 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  Shyanne L. Burris, 24, Platteville, was cited by Darlington police at about 8:10 p.m. for driving with a suspended license and non-registration of an auto, following contact at the Darlington Municipal Building. She was then arrested by deputies on a Grant County warrant and transported to the Grant County Jail.

●  William Fourche Jr., 47, Atlanta, was cited for speeding at 9:37 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.
