ALBANY — Hailey J. Young, 20, Albany, was cited Nov. 7 for driving with a suspended license.

•  Brad A. Scott, 40, Gratiot, was cited Nov. 8 for driving without a valid license.

•  Christopher C. Murray, 35, Brodhead, was cited Nov. 10 for non-registration of an auto.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Friday, Nov. 9:

•  Philip Vieth, 51, Huntley, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 9:55 p.m. on Galena Street.

•  Modesto Pena-Iuas, 43, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at 11:15 p.m. on East Louisa Street.

On Sunday, Nov. 11:

•  Nicole Lee White, 30, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance at about 5:35 a.m. on West River Street.

•  Julie M. Lofftin, 43, Darlington, was arrested for a probation violation at about 2:15 p.m. following an investigation at a residence on East Street. She was jailed.

•  Ryan Scott Thomas, 18, Gurnee, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 6:20 p.m. on Galena Street.

•  Joshua A. Johnson, 37, Darlington, was cited for driving a vehicle with expired plates at 7:32 p.m.

On Monday, Nov. 13:

•  Diane Smith-Hole, 62, Darlington, was cited for a property maintenance violation following a complaint from the Darlington Building and Zoning Inspector about a residence on Division Street.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Mark A. Elmer, 43, Monroe, was arrested on a felony charge of physical abuse of a child and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the N2400 block of Van Matre Lane, Town of Clarno, at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13. He was jailed pending court. Additional felony charges of false imprisonment and strangulation and suffocation were filed in Green County Circuit Court Thursday, Nov. 15. The charges stem from a physical encounter with a 15-year old. According to the criminal complaint, the child told deputies he was dragged across the floor, punched “quite a few times” in the face and strangled.

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, Nov. 3:

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 4:25 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

•  A deputy responded at 4:38 p.m. to assist the Darlington Police Department with an injured animal on Ravine Street in Darlington. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted on scene.

•  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 6:44 p.m. on West Commerce Street in Belmont.

•  David K. Andrews, 19, Browntown, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 11:23 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

On Sunday, Nov. 4:

•  Penny L. Sconzert, 57, Kenosha, was cited for speeding at 12:02 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

•  Jason B. Humke, 48, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 12:34 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

•  A deputy responded at 4:52 a.m. to U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, to assist the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic complaint.

•  Deputies responded at 7:48 a.m. to South State Street in Argyle for a welfare check.

•  An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 9:32 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.

•  A theft was reported at 11:08 a.m. on Engelke Drive in Belmont.

•  Victor Lopez-Aguirre, 48, South Wayne, was cited for driving without a valid license or vehicle insurance at 11:31 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot.

•  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 12:44 p.m. on North Broad Street in Argyle.

•  A tree across the roadway was reported at 12:47 p.m. on Monroe Street in Argyle.

•  A theft was reported at 1:59 p.m. on Highland Street in Belmont.

•  Blake A. Herman, 19, Benton, was arrested on a warrant at 8:41 p.m. on Bennett Road, Town of New Diggings. He was transported to the jail.

•  Ahmet Eljezi, 28, Darlington, was cited for speeding and driving without vehicle insurance at 10:07 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:50 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.
