Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On March 20: 

●  Police conducted traffic control for Monticello First Response at 7:36 p.m. outside Monticello. 

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of East Coates Avenue. Police did not locate vehicle. 

●  Police located an unsecure building at 11:16 p.m. while conducting security checks. Everything was fine and building was secured. 

●  A traffic/driving complaint was reported at 3:19 p.m. March 21 in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Information was relayed to New Glarus Police Department. 

On March 22: 

●  Vandalism involving a damaged mailbox was reported at 8:31 a.m. in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. Investigation is ongoing. 

●  Loud music was reported at 11:02 a.m. in the 500 block of East Park Avenue. Remains under investigation. 

On March 23: 

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 1:03 p.m. on East Wisconsin Avenue and South Pratt Road. Everything was okay. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 10:43 a.m. in the 400 block of East Lake Avenue. The vehicle was tagged for 24-hour parking. It was removed. 

●  Micheal A. Emberson, Albany, was cited for littering in public at 12:13 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

●  Rebecca Bak, Monticello, was cited for consumption of intoxicants in front of a business at 3:27 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

On March 25: 

●  A dog at large was reported at 11:13 a.m. The owner located the dog and no law enforcement was needed. 

●  Police assisted the Green County Human Services Department at 12:13 p.m. in Monticello. 

●  An abandoned vehicle was reported at 12:32 p.m. in the 100 block of East North Avenue. It was tagged for 24-hour removal. 

●  A traffic/driving complaint was reported at 1:09 p.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Investigation is ongoing. 

On March 26: 

●  A traffic/driving complaint was reported at 11:48 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. Investigation is ongoing. 

●  A traffic/driving complaint was reported at 11:56 p.m. in the 600 block of North Monroe Street. Vehicle was not located.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD —  For the week of March 21 to March 27, police performed 19 security checks, 16 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 18 follow-ups to incidents, 20 vehicle registration and eight traffic stops; responded to 27 calls for service and reported nine EMS calls, nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 7:54 p.m. March 21 in the 900 block of 19th Street. A verbal warning was issued to the owner. 

●  A cardboard box in the roadway was reported at 7:57 p.m. March 22 in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue. Officers removed box. 

On March 23: 

●  A Freeport man, 37, was cited for speeding at 2:09 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. 

●  Verbal harassment in a residential building was reported at 4:30 p.m. in the 100 block of 10th Street. A verbal warning was issued. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 2:04 a.m. March 24 in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police found nothing suspicious. 

On March 26: 

●  A Brodhead man, 32, was cited for driving after suspension at 7:44 a.m. in the 2300 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A juvenile was cited for a second-offense charge of underage possession of tobacco at 11:36 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. 

●  A curfew violation was reported at 10:54 p.m. in the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue. Warnings were issued for park curfew and city curfew violation. 


Monroe Police

MONROE —A male pushing and shoving a female was reported at 9:02 p.m. March 26 in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. Austin M. Coulthard, 18, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. He was released with a municipal citation.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — A disturbance was reported at 10:17 p.m. March 25 in the N2300 block of Spring Street, Town of Jefferson. Justin D. Halvorson, 32, Juda, was found to have a probation hold in place by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, battery and resisting an officer. He was jailed. 

 

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On March 20:

●  Deputies responded for a civil dispute at 6:14 p.m. on South Warren Street in South Wayne. 

●  Trespassing was reported at 6:41 p.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota. 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 7:43 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

●  A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 8:27 p.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  Richard J. Randecker, 56, Benton, was cited for driving while suspended, no vehicle insurance and expired registration at 9:09 p.m. on Miner Way in Shullsburg. Shullsburg police assisted. 

●  Scott R. Bartell, 24, Benton, was cited for speeding on an atv at 10:47 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg. 

On March 21: 

●  Todd J. Walton, 46, Benton, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 2:50 a.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 3:30 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont and at 10:51 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. 

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 8:16 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:29 p.m. on Alvin Street in Blanchardville. Blanchardville EMS assisted. 

●  Theft was reported at 3:02 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Mark R. Scott, 36, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding at 4:21 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:09 p.m. on South Galena Street in Shullsburg. 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 7:43 p.m. on Wis. 11 in South Wayne. 

●  Deputies assisted Blanchardville Police Department with a suspicious activity complaint at 8:17 p.m. on South Main Street in Blanchardville.

On March 22: 

●  A deputy responded for a courtesy ride at 2:20 a.m. on Palmer Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 4:22 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:15 a.m. on County O, Town of White Oak Springs and at 4:37 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. 

●  Illegal dumping was reported at 8:50 a.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 4:48 p.m. on Carr Factory Road, Town of Benton.

●  David F. Hodgson, 57, Gratiot, was cited for speeding at 6:27 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy responded for a citizen assist at 7:54 p.m. on County Z, Town of Kendall. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 8:18 p.m. on Goodman Road, Town of Wiota. 

On March 23: 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 12:19 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot and at 6:27 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont. 

● Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:21 a.m. on West Main Street in Shullsburg. Jonathan P. Blaser, 30, Shullsburg, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct. He was released after posting bond. 

●  Trespassing was reported at 8:21 a.m. on Buncombe Road, Town of Benton. 

●  Shawn M. Knauer, 20, Stockton, was cited for driving after suspension at 3:33 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. 

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 8:13 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 10:21 p.m. on County W, Town of Benton. Connie M. Hinderman, 62, Hazel Green, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated. She was released to a responsible party. Hazel Green police assisted. 

On March 24: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:21 a.m. on East Main Street in Benton and at 7:01 a.m. on Burr Oak Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  A deputy responded for a civil dispute at 1:58 p.m. on Mound View Road, Town of Belmont. 

●  A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 4:55 p.m. on Third Street in Argyle, at 7:59 p.m. on North State Street in Argyle and at 9:34 p.m. on Garden Street, Town of New Diggings. 

●  Laura L. Gundlach, 52, Shullsburg, was arrested on two warrants at 6:33 p.m. on County W, Town of Monticello. She was also cited for speeding, driving without a license and no vehicle insurance. She posted bond and was released. 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:52 p.m. on County M, Town of Wiota. 

On March 25: 

●  An erratic driver was reported at 5:58 a.m. on West Mound Avenue in Belmont. 

●  A deputy assisted with traffic control at 7:39 a.m. on County O, Town of Seymour. 

●  Cole R. Gollmer, 23, Darlington, was arrested on a probation and parole warrant at 10:10 a.m. on West Catherine Street in Darlington. He was jailed. 

●  An animal problem was reported at 10:25 a.m. on South McKnight in South Wayne. 

●  A possible scam was reported at 12:59 p.m. on County D, Town of Darlington. 

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 1:42 p.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne. 

●  A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a welfare check at 1:45 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. 

●  Ernesto J. Burgart-Munoz, 36, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license at 4:52 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg. 

●  A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 7:42 p.m. on Valley Road in Argyle. 

●  Iurie Zotea, 25, Rockville, Maryland, was cited for failure to stop at stop sign at 8:03 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg. 

On March 26: 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 11:18 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 11:47 a.m. on South Van Buren Street in Benton. Shullsburg police assisted. 

●  A deputy responded for an alarm at 4:31 p.m. on Spruce Street in Argyle. 

●  Harassment was reported at 4:36 p.m. on Hazel Street in Belmont. 

●  Ian D. Champion, 25, Potosi, was arrested for driving after revocation at 6:44 p.m. on County H, Town of Benton. He was booked and released. 

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a juvenile problem at 7:11 p.m. on Christensen Drive in Darlington. 

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 7:21 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. 

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 8:29 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of New Diggings and at 8:41 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.
