Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of June 9-15, police performed 57 security checks, 27 citizen assists, 11 assists of other agencies, nine vehicle registrations and seven follow-ups to incidents; responded to 44 calls for service, seven EMS calls and six 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made nine traffic stops. One mental health transport was reported. No fire calls or detox transports were reported.
On Sunday, June 9:
● Damage to a door was reported at 10:23 a.m. in the 700 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● Juveniles swimming in the Race was reported at 3:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street. Police advised the juveniles they could not swim in the Race.
● A person who started a fire along the Race in the 1100 block of 11th Street was reported at 3:57 p.m. A warning was issued.
● Police made contact with several juveniles at 11:47 p.m. in the 300 block of 4th Street. Police warned them for curfew violations and being in a city park after-hours.
On Monday, June 10:
● Damage to a lawn was reported at 7:32 a.m. in the 1900 block of West 5th Avenue.
● A dog at large was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the 200 block of East 4th Avenue. The owner was warned.
● A juvenile causing a disturbance was reported at 7:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of 19th Street.
On Tuesday, June 11:
● A Beloit woman, 28, was arrested on a Winnebago County warrant at 1:24 a.m. in the 200 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 12:13 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. A warning was issued.
● A verbal altercation was reported at 8:09 p.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Avenue. Warnings were issued.
On Wednesday, June 12:
● A Monroe man, 48, was cited for speeding at 5:48 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
● An Evansville man, 41, was cited for speeding at 6:04 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
● An Orfordville woman, 42, was cited for speeding at 6:25 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
On Thursday, June 13:
● A Freeport man, 50, was cited for speeding at 8:07 a.m. in the 700 block of 1st Street.
● A Janesville woman, 44, was cited for speeding at 10:54 a.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street.
● A Brodhead driver, 16, was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian at 1:22 p.m. in the 1700 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On Friday, June 14:
● A theft of money was reported at 8:13 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The missing money was later located by the owner. No crime had been committed.
● Damage to a car was reported at 3:05 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street. Strong winds had blown a Dumpster into the car.
● A Warren woman, 51, was cited for speeding at 4 p.m. in the 700 block of 23rd Street.
● A Janesville woman, 25, was cited for speeding at 8:06 p.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.
On Saturday, June 15:
● A vehicle in violation of the city’s Junk Vehicle ordinance was reported at 12:47 p.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street.
● A heavy truck parked at a residence without a permit was reported at 12:55 p.m. in the 300 block of 8th Street. A warning was issued.
● An injured owl was reported at 5:46 p.m. in the 1400 block of 17th Street. The matter was referred to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Justin D. Nyman, 27, Monroe, was taken into custody for a probation and parole violation at 2:37 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Justice Center. He was jailed.
● Dustin M. Dean, 30, Monroe, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold after deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 19. He was jailed.
Lafayette County Sheriff
DARLINGTON — On Monday, June 10:
● Debris in the roadway was reported at 6:02 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● A deputy responded at 8:22 p.m. to County G, Town of Willow Springs, to assist the Oak Creek Police Department with the welfare check of an elderly man. Brodhead and Cuba City police and the Green County Sheriff’s Office and Grant County Sheriff’s Office all assisted with attempting to locate the man. The male driver was finally contacted in Cuba City.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 9:58 p.m. on Walnut Road, Town of Darlington.
● Charles A. Felker Jr., 22, Belmont, was arrested on a warrant and cited for use or possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:08 p.m. on West Estey Street in Shullsburg. He was jailed.
On Tuesday, June 11:
● An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 5:25 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.
● Deputies responded to a commercial alarm at 7:13 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.
● A civil dispute was reported at 7:50 a.m. on White School Road, Town of Gratiot.
● Rebecka D. Riley, 24, Monroe, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone and an expired vehicle registration after a deputy responded at 9:01 a.m. to a complaint of an erratic driver on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.
● A deputy responded to assist with traffic control at 10:56 a.m. on County G in Belmont.
● An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 11:32 a.m. on County G, Town of Argyle. Argyle police assisted on scene.
● A deputy responded to check welfare at 2:19 p.m. on East Water Street in Shullsburg.
● A civil dispute was reported at 2:25 p.m. on Crist Lane, Town of Darlington.
● Scott A. Tellman, 51, Aurora, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:59 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.
● A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a scam complaint at 7:49 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:09 p.m. on County D, Town of Darlington, and at 10:40 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.
● Deputies responded to assist Platteville police with a welfare check at 10:54 p.m. at the Belmont Mound and Big M in Belmont. UW-Platteville police assisted on scene.
● Harassment was reported at 11:23 p.m. on Gun Club Road, Town of Darlington.

● A traffic hazard was reported at 5:05 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

● Josh R. Penniston, 36, Belmont, was cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license at 3:12 p.m. on East Platteville Avenue in Belmont.
● Deputies responded for a welfare check at 3:32 p.m. on Field Drive Road, Town of Belmont.
● An animal problem was reported at 4:42 p.m. on Sand Road, Town of Wiota.
● A 911 misdial was reported at 7:17 p.m. on White School Road, Town of Monticello.
On Thursday, June 13:
● Eric C Schmid, 25, Blanchardville, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and not having proof of vehicle insurance at 3:10 a.m. on South Green Street in Argyle.
● Edward D. Thompson, 33, Mineral Point, was arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after deputies and Green County EMS of Darlington responded for a welfare check at 4:03 a.m. on County D, Town of Fayette. He was also cited for improper parking on a roadway. He was transported to the jail, where he was booked and then released to a responsible party.
● Disorderly conduct was reported at 11:07 a.m. on Paulson Road, Town of Blanchard. Blanchardville police assisted on scene.
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:48 p.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.
On Friday, June 14:
● Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:28 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.
● A traffic hazard of debris on the roadway was reported at 11:43 a.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.
● A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 12:05 p.m. on Fayette Road, Town of Darlington.
● An abandoned vehicle was reported at 2:17 p.m. on County Y, Town of Argyle.
● A civil dispute was reported at 3:24 p.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.
● Nathan T. Littlejohn, 23, Sandwich, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 4:47 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.
● Brett M. Errthum, 44, Asbury, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 5:09 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.
