● Juan C. Ruiz-Hernandez, 20, Darlington, was cited for display of power and driving without a valid license at 12:28 a.m. on Galena Street.
● Taran H. Fox, 24, Belmont, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and non-registration of auto at 3:05 a.m. on Galena Street.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Teresa L. McDaniel, 37, East Troy, was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 13 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.
● Randall S. Zuber, 43, South Wayne, was arrested on a probation violation at 5:59 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Green County Sheriff’s Office in Monroe. He was jailed.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 8 to Aug. 14, police performed 49 security checks, 30 citizen assists, 16 assists of other agencies, five follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registration and eight traffic stops; responded to 45 calls for service and reported 11 EMS calls, nine 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported.
On Aug. 9:
● A traffic hazard involving a mattress on the roadway was reported at 2:32 a.m. in the 400 block of 3rd Street. The mattress was removed.
● Counterfeit currency was reported at 8:27 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation.
● A Brodhead man, 20, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:56 a.m. Aug. 11 in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On Aug. 12:
● Disorderly conduct involving juveniles throwing rocks at a building was reported at 2:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue. Officers were unable to locate juveniles.
● Suspicious activity was reported at 3:06 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.
● Three individuals loitering outside a business was reported at 5:12 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Individuals left prior to police arrival.
On Aug. 13:
● Littering involving cinder blocks and oil pump in alleyway was reported at 1:44 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. Owner moved items.
● A dog was turned into police custody at 4:48 p.m. The owner picked up the dog. A verbal warning was issued.
On Aug. 14:
● An alarm was reported at 12:29 a.m. in the 400 block of East 2nd Avenue. Officers were unable to locate source of alarm.
● A parking where prohibited citation was issued at 8:19 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

MONTICELLO — On Aug. 7:
● Suspicious activity and loud noise was reported at 12:14 a.m. in the 200 block of East Coates Avenue.
● Officers responded to remove an animal carcass from the roadway at 10:07 a.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street.
● Officers assisted New Glarus Police Department at 11:13 p.m. in the 1300 block of Wis. 69 in New Glarus.
● Officers responded to check welfare at 6:04 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 500 block of South Main Street.
On Aug. 10:
● A found cell phone was turned into the police department at 10:19 a.m. The owner was contacted.
● A civil matter in regard to a recently purchased vehicle that broke down was reported at 10:27 a.m.
● A driving complaint was reported at 4:49 p.m. on Wis. 69. Information was passed onto the New Glarus Police Department.
On Aug. 11:
● Bats inside a residence was reported at 8:54 a.m. The resident was given several numbers for animal control.
● Officers assisted Monticello First Response and Green County EMS at 3:05 p.m. in Monticello.
● Officers responded for a commercial fire alarm at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 300 block of South Main Street. Everything was okay.
