NG man faces felony 5th/6th OWI charge

MONROE — A New Glarus man is facing his 5th or 6th charge of operating while under the influence.

According to Green County Circuit records, Andrew Hurley, 55, was charged with the offense last March. He was arrested by New Glarus police and recently appeared on the felony OWI charge in Green County Circuit Court.

Hurley has been free on a $10,000 signature bond, according to court records. A preliminary hearing on the charge is scheduled for 2 p.m. on July 5 before Circuit Judge Faun Phillipson. If convicted, he faces up to 60 days in jail and a significant fine.
