On June 15:

● At 4:59 p.m., officers on patrol observed a vehicle collide with a legally parked unattended vehicle in the 2400 block of 9th Street. An investigation indicated that the operator of the vehicle was Calvin J. Gassman (69), of Lena, IL, and that the vehicle had been westbound on 9th Street when it collided with the legally parked unattended vehicle. There were no reported injuries and both vehicles sustained minor damages as a result. Gassman was cited for operating without proof of insurance and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Gassman was released pending a court appearance.
