On August 14:

● At 8:58 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at 13th Street and 25th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Hannah L. Gierhart,19, of Argyle, was northbound on 25th Avenue, stopped at the stop sign at 13th Street, entered the intersection and collided with a vehicle which was westbound on 13th Street, operated by a 34-year-old Freeport, IL man. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Gierhart was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance. 

On August 16:

● At 4:21 p.m., officers were called to a business in the 700 block of 8th Avenue for a shoplifting complaint. The investigation led to Jennifer M. Reddick, 48, of Monroe, being cited for retail theft and released pending a court appearance.
