Monroe Fire

MONROE — A grass fire was reported north of the city on County N near Voegel Road at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. A couple of acres burned. It was contained within 10 minutes.

Monticello Fire

MONTICELLO — A grass fire was reported on Highpoint Road just west of County N at about 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. It was a controlled burn that got out of control. About two acres burned. The landowners got it under control by the time firefighters arrived.

●  Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded at 11:05 a.m. to Dump Road, Town of Benton.

●  South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded at 4:55 p.m. to West Center Street in South Wayne.
