Monroe Police

MONROE — A vehicle on fire was reported at the intersection of Wis. 69 and 11th Street at 9:08 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, with the Monroe Police and Fire Departments responding. The vehicle began smoking while being driven by a 17-year-old Monroe girl. It soon caught fire and became fully engulfed. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is believed to be mechanical in nature. The vehicle was severely damaged in the fire and removed by Jelle’s Towing.

DARLINGTON — On Friday, Dec. 7:

●  Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 4:19 p.m. to Fayette Road in Darlington. The Darlington Police Department assisted.

On Saturday, Dec. 8:

●  The Darlington Fire Department responded at 1:49 a.m. to Iowa County for a structure fire.

●  Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 8:04 a.m. to Galena Street in Darlington. Darlington police assisted.
