NEW GLARUS — Green County investigators announced that, in cooperation with New Glarus police, they had arrested a local man on child pornography related charges.
The Green County Detective Bureau was initially requested to assist New Glarus Police with an investigation into an adult male exposing a juvenile child to harmful materials during the course of his employment, according to a statement.
Then the detective Bureau, teamed with Green County Child Protective Services, and completed further investigation into the case on July 22, police said. That investigation determined that several photographs depicting nudity were shown to a juvenile child.
As a result, Joseph N. Carlson 45, of New Glarus was arrested and charged with felony Exposing a Child to Harmful Materials.
Carlson was transported to the Green County Jail where remains pending court a court appearance.
Green County Detectives said the investigation is ongoing.
