Felonies

●  Beau Lucan Stuhr, 34, Brodhead, was charged Nov. 30 with a Class I felony count of fleeing an officer in a vehicle, stemming from an attempted traffic stop Nov. 21 in the W1400 block of Wis. 92, Town of Brooklyn. Court records indicate police stopped Stuhr for lane deviation, but Stuhr drove off from the stop at high speeds, leading an officer on a chase. At one intersection the Ford Explorer Stuhr was driving “turned sideways and began to slide” so abruptly that the officer behind him feared the SUV would crash. Stuhr was eventually located asleep in a bed at a home on Peerless Road, Town of New Glarus. Stuhr has at least seven convictions of operating while intoxicated on his record and his license is revoked. He has a preliminary hearing Dec. 20.

●  Victor Alexander McDonald, 22, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Nov. 7 to misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer and was sentenced to two years on probation, with conditions that he complete alcohol and mental health treatment or counseling. He owes $886 in court assessments. Felony counts of intimating a victim and false imprisonment and a misdemeanor count of battery were dismissed as part of a plea deal. He was also sentenced to six months in jail after his probation was revoked in a previous domestic abuse case. The more recent case stems from a domestic abuse incident July 28 at a laundromat in Brodhead. According to court records, a woman was doing laundry with her mother and small children when she was approached and yelled at by McDonald before he grabbed her wrist and pulled on her shirt, not allowing her to leave. He was later found to be under the influence of alcohol, in violation of a probation condition that he maintain absolute sobriety.

●  Jenifer Lynn Kitelinger, 36, Monroe, pleaded no contest Nov. 7 to a Class H felony count of battery or threat to a law enforcement officer. She was sentenced to two years on probation, with conditions that she complete alcohol treatment and any mental health treatment recommended by her agent. She owes $250 in court assessments. Misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and resisting or obstructing an officer were dismissed as part of a plea deal. Court records indicate that on July 24, a Monroe Police officer responded to the 1000 block of 17th Street around 2:30 a.m. to find Kitelinger intoxicated and in a dispute with family members. When the officer tried to restrain her, Kitelinger kicked and bit him.

●  Charissa Carrie Williams, 32, Fitchburg, pleaded guilty Nov. 9 to a Class I felony count of retail theft and was sentenced to three years on probation, with conditions that she pay restitution. A misdemeanor count of misappropriating ID info was dismissed but “read in,” meaning the judge could consider it at sentencing. Court records indicate that on June 2, 2016, Williams was seen at Walmart in Monroe taking a tote bag, filling it with merchandise including baby clothes and baby food and leaving the store without paying. The stolen goods were valued at $1,387.28 in total. When police apprehended Williams, she gave a false name.

●  Paige Leigh Patmythes, 19, Roscoe, Illinois, entered a one-year deferred prosecution agreement Nov. 19 on a Class H felony charge of child abuse and misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. The charges will be fully dismissed if she complies with terms of the agreement. The case stems from an incident May 27 in Albany, according to court records. Police on patrol approached a group of people arguing at the corner of South Water Street and East Main Street and were told a 12-year-old girl had been trying to stop fighting between people in the group and was hit in the process. The girl told police Patmythes hit her in the eye, shoved her and yelled at her. Police reviewed video surveillance and noted Patmythes charging at the girl and pursuing her even after another person tried to hold her back.

●  Matthew David Gilbertson, 35, Monroe, pleaded no contest Dec. 6 in multiple cases, including to Class H felony counts of forgery and a sex registry violation and misdemeanor counts of possessing cocaine, disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon and violating a harassment restraining order. He was sentenced to three years on probation, with conditions that he pay restitution and undergo any treatment or counseling deemed appropriate by his probation agent. Five additional felony counts of forgery were dismissed but “read in,” meaning the judge could consider them at sentencing. Other charges were also dismissed as part of a plea deal. Court records indicate Gilbertson stole checks from the dairy farm where he was employed on Town Center Road in rural Monroe, forged them to himself for amounts totaling more than $1,200 and cashed them at area bars and at a Monroe bank in November and December 2017. The employer told police Gilbertson was not fired but “just stopped showing up one day” and was not heard from since then. In June 2017, Gilbertson, who was convicted in 2009 of aggravated sexual abuse in Stephenson County, Illinois, failed to notify the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry of an address change. Gilbertson’s cocaine possession conviction stems from a traffic stop in Dec. 2017 on 22nd Avenue in Monroe, after a K-9 alerted to the vehicle.

●  David Alan Scofield, 29, Brodhead, pleaded no contest Dec. 6 to a felony sex offender registry violation and was sentenced to 150 days in jail. He owes the court $518. Scofield was convicted of causing a child to view or listen to sexual activity in 2007 and will be a registered sex offender until 2027. He is required to register all social media accounts and internet activity. According to court records, on June 28 he created a Facebook profile under the name “Trailr Park” and started an email account, but reported neither to the Department of Corrections. His agent reported Scofield for the violation after discovering that Scofield had used his Facebook account “to engage in a relationship with a female subject.”

●  Martin David Trone, 54, Argyle, was charged Dec. 5 with a Class I felony count of retail theft and a Class A misdemeanor count of retail theft involving removal of an anti-theft device, both modified as repeat offenses. A warrant is issued for his arrest. Court records indicate Trone shoplifted a Carbon Express PileDriver bow ($398), a Kaptur drone ($159) and a hairbrush ($4.77) from the Walmart Supercenter in Monroe on Nov. 29.

●  Jesse Alan Partridge, 26, Monroe, was charged Dec. 10 with felony bail jumping, stemming from a reported incident of harassment on Facebook two days earlier that violated bond conditions in a previous case. Court records indicate he posted publicly on his Facebook page outing a confidential drug informant for an area drug enforcement agency. The post attracted a couple dozen comments that disparaged and mocked the informant. Partridge’s signature bond was set at $1,500 at his initial appearance Dec. 13, with conditions that he have no direct or indirect contact with the informant and refrain from posting on social media relating to the informant. He has a pre-trial conference Feb. 5.
