Candidates on ballot for village races

All candidates in these races were asked to reply to a questionnaire. The answers from those who responded appear in profiles in this section, in their own words. Candidates were also given the option to submit a photo to appear with their profile information.

The following candidates will be on the ballot Tuesday, April 2 for village board races in Green and Lafayette counties.

Green County

Village of Albany

Larry A. Hanson is the sole candidate for village president. Running for three spots on the village board are Kim A. Blumer, Peggy Boeck and Eileen Althaus.



Village of Browntown

John Schmitt is the only candidate for village president. Joan Pickett and Sherrie Saver are running for two village trustee positions.



Village of Monticello

There is no candidate on the ballot for village president. Running for three village trustee positions are Laura Curry, William Loveland and LaVerne Crooks.



Village of New Glarus

Roger Truttman and Jim Salter are running against each other for village president. There are five candidates for three village trustee positions: Peggy A. Kruse, Mark Janowiak; Roger Truttmann; Eric Gobeli and Jim Salter.



Lafayette County

Village of Argyle

There are six candidates for three open village board seats: Tina Swingen, Bradley Ostby, Victor Weibel, Neale Tollakson, Brenda Bredeson and Dave Soper.



Village of Blanchardville

Mark Emberson is the only candidate for village president. Those running for three open seats on the village board are Steve Young, Donna J.B. Whyte, Barbara Ruegsegger and Christine R. Pieper.



Village of Gratiot

Karlan Johnson is the only name on the ballot for village president. Tim Burke is the only candidate for the one open spot on the village board, and Bob Hermanson is the only candidate for village clerk/treasurer.



Village of South Wayne

Melodie Hawkins is the only candidate for village president. Four people are running for two spots on the village board: Allen Melland, Darin Lincicum, Jeremy Nall and Bruce Fernstaedt.
