What are the top issues facing this board/council and how would you resolve them?

I believe that the top issues facing the board would be lower spending limits presented in the current economic times and the vacant buildings in the downtown area needing new life. I have worked (with) other members of the Argyle-Adams Fire Department in recent years finding new and different ways of obtaining funding for growing expenses. We have also been able to help keep our expenses down while still providing all the same services, if not more than before. If given the opportunity I would be honored to work with new entrepreneurs in filling the empty buildings in the downtown area. As a new board member one of my primary responsibilities will be to listen to what has been done in the past, what is being done now, and then to give my input as to how to continue the good practices that have been done up until now and to grow new opportunities.
