JANESVILLE - A 58-year-old Albany man was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle car accident on County H in the Town of Edgerton.
According to the Rock County Sheriff's Office, the man was northbound in the 8000 block of County H when he veered off the roadway and entered a ditch, eventually coming to rest against a culvert.
Although first responders attempted to resuscitate him, they were unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Other factors that may have contributed to the accident and the driver's death are still under investigation.
The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office withheld the name of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.
