Monday, October 1

The City of Monroe Board of Public Works will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include discussion on the Veolia transfer station and possible action on mayoral recommendations for the parking ramp.

The City of Monroe Public Safety Committee will meet at 5 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include possible action on an agreement with the Green County Humane Society.

The City of Monroe Judiciary and Ordinance Committee will meet at 5:30 at the city hall. Agenda items include possible action on repealing special ordinances from 1970 and 1984.

The Village of New Glarus Design Review Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include a final review of a Swiss design review application from Richard Engen.

The Darlington Community School District Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the elementary/middle school. Agenda items include a discussion and possible action regarding adult students volunteering as firemen during the school day.

The Joint Ag and Extension Education Committees for Lafayette County and Grant County will meet at 1 p.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer Farm, Platteville. Agenda items include an extension agent agreement between the two counties.

The City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include work on the 2013 budget.

The Lafayette County Land Conservation Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the USDA Conference Room. Agenda items include a discussion and possible action on the budget.

The Village of New Glarus Personnel/Finance Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include the assessor contract for 2013-15.

The Village of New Glarus Board will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include a discussion/presentation on the alternate library site.

The City of Monroe License Committee will meet at 7:15 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include action on temporary beer licenses for organizations in conjunction with Chilifest, Oct. 6.

The City of Monroe Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include possible action on a request from the owners of Deluxe Lounge for a variance from city ordinance requirements regarding holders of liquor licenses to be open for business.

The Green County Agriculture and Extension Education Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Justice Center. Agenda items include a closed session discussion regarding a public employee.

The City of Monroe Housing Authority Board of Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. at Churchill Woods Apartments, 800 13th Avenue. Agenda items include office updates and possible action on Project Home.

The City of Monroe Finance and Taxation Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the city hall. Agenda items include work on the 2013 budget.

The Land and Water Conservation Committee will meet at 10 a.m. at the USDA Service Center. Agenda items include the USDA-APHIS budget and crop prices.

The Village of New Glarus Triathlon Planning Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. at village hall. Agenda items include a discussion the 2012 event.

The Southwest Family Care Alliance Audit Committee will meet from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Southwest Family Care Alliance main office. Agenda items include the developing an audit committee charger, frequency of meetings and scope of work for audit committee.

Wednesday, October 10

The Green County Law Enforcement and Public Safety Committee will meet at 2 p.m. at the sheriff's office. Agenda items include a review jail population and medical issues.

Friday, October 12

The Audit Subcommittee of the Green County Human Services Board will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the Government Services Building. Agenda items include auditing bills for payments.

Tuesday, October 30

The Green County Board of Adjustments will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the courthouse for a public hearing to consider an application for a conditional use permit from Lori Stern and M. Leann Powers, landowner, for a bed and breakfast and yoga and massage.
