MONROE — An Argyle driver was cited for not properly lighting his farm equipment after a woman rear-ended him Sunday evening on Wisconsin 11 near the Wis. 69 overpass, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened about an hour after sunset in the W5600 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Deputies, Green County EMS and the Monroe Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at about 7:40 p.m.
Ronald L. Gordee, 59, was westbound in a pickup truck hauling two pieces of farm equipment without proper lighting when Marie J. Frandy, 64, Albany, rear-ended the gravity box wagon he was hauling.
A passenger in Gordee’s vehicle, Kelly S. Gordee, 58, Argyle, was injured and taken by ambulance to the Monroe Clinic ER. The Gordees were wearing seatbelts.
Frandy was also injured in the crash but declined medical treatment at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Her vehicle sustained severe damage, including airbag deployment, and was towed. She was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Gordee’s pickup truck was undamaged but his gravity box sustained severe damage and had to be towed. He was cited for operating farm equipment without reflectors.
