Schultz Wisconsin, one of the “ghost stations” along the Badger State Trail south of Monticello, served this area as a general store, post office and railroad stop for passengers and freight from about 1889 through 1905.  Fred W. Schultz (1858-1901) was owner and postmaster until his death, then his widow Mary (1857-1933) took over the operation until selling the business to daughter Della, who ran the general store until it closed in late 1905.
