CALL TO ORDER FOR THIS MEETING The Common Council meeting was called to order on July 5, 2022 at 6:30 PM by Mayor Douglas. A. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL Present at roll call were Alders Tom Miller, Joshua Binger, Richard Thoman, Chris Schindler, Lynne Hardy, Heidi Treuthardt, and Mary Jane Grenzow. Resolution Authorizing Twining Park Ballfield Fencing Replacement Motion made by Joshua Binger and seconded by Tom Miller to approve the resolution authorizing twining park ballfield fencing replacement with capital funds. Resolution Authorizing Renovation of Swimming Pool Supervisor Trame answers inquiries regarding the renovation plans that the pool will be sandblasted, repairs complete, then apply epoxy. Resolution Approving Fireworks Permit - Green County Fair Discussion that the fireworks are an annual event. The date on the application is for July 23, 2022, but is not specified in the resolution. Joshua Binger made a motion revise the resolution to include the date of July 23, 2022 at 9 P.M., seconded by Chris Schindler. Motion carried by roll call vote. Motion made by Joshua Binger and seconded by Lynne Hardy to approve the fireworks permit for Green County Fairgrounds with the addition of the date July 23, 2022 at 9 PM to the resolution. On a roll call vote, Motion Passed. K. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY ALDERPERSONS Alder Binger commends all of the departments for their efforts to make the July 4th festivities successful. He also extends a thank you to Rocky Haraldson for a prompt and professional response for a personal event that occurred Culver's earlier in the day. NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

Absentee Voting to be Administered on July 26, 2022 at: Aster Assisted Living of Monroe at 2:00 PM Special Voting Deputies appointed by the City of Monroe will be administering absentee voting for the residents of these facilities for the August 9, 2022 Partisan Primary Election at the above times and places. Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. Citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Only observers from each of the two recognized political parties whose candidates for Governer or President received the greatest number of votes in the municipality at the most recent general election may accompany the deputies to each facility where absentee voting will take place. The observers may observe the process of absentee ballot distribution in the common areas of the home, facility, or complex. Each party wishing to have an observer present shall submit the name of the observer to the clerk or board of election commissioners no later than the close of business on the last business day prior to the visit. Family members residents may be present at the time of voting.
